Understated and comfortable solutions for missing teeth

We understand that dentures can be an intimidating prospect for some people. To restore your confidence in your smile, we strive to make this process as simple and straightforward as possible.

Why do I need a denture?

People underestimate the ease and convenience of removable and discreet dentures. These are frequently used to bridge the gap between longer-term treatments, such as dental implants, or where other treatments are not possible and are helpful in maintaining the aesthetics and function of missing teeth.

What types of dentures are available?

All kinds of situations can be met with a variety of dentures. In general, dentures fall into two categories: full dentures and partial dentures. Partial dentures provide aesthetics and functionality for those who are missing one or more teeth. An arch of teeth that needs all of its teeth replaced is more likely to benefit from a full denture.

What are dentures made from?

Dental laboratories can create dentures from a variety of materials. Acrylic is commonly used for its lightweight properties and to create custom tooth shades. The frame that supports the new teeth can be made of cobalt chrome, which is also often used. Compared to acrylic versions, these are thinner and more comfortable.

How long will it take to make them?

Depending on the type of denture you need, you may need a series of weekly visits (usually four or five). During the first two stages, you will have impressions taken and measured to determine your bite comfort. During the third/fourth stage, you will get a chance to try it out. Mock-ups are made so you can check the fit, the bite, and most importantly, whether or not you’re satisfied with the final appearance of the denture before it’s made. Lastly, the denture will be fitted and minor adjustments made for your comfort.

What should I expect when fitting a denture?

During your bespoke denture fitting, we will make sure you feel comfortable wearing them. You will be guided on managing your dentures properly to ensure their longevity and maintain your oral health. During this stage, it is common for minor adjustments to be made.
